NeonWire — a neon connect-and-fill puzzle game
NeonWire is a free neon connect-and-fill puzzle game: link same-color light nodes with non-crossing paths to fill the grid. Adds directional current and an energy/star rating. Play free in your browser, offline-playable, no account, no download.
How to play
The board is a grid of glowing cells. Each color has exactly two light nodes. Drag from one node along up/down/left/right cells to the matching node to draw a non-crossing path. You clear a level when every color is connected and every open cell is filled. No timer, no game over — just the puzzle. A full step-by-step guide lives on the how to play page.
What makes it different
NeonWire is more than a connect-the-dots board. It is built as a free alternative to plain flow-style connect puzzles, adding two mechanics that change how you plan a path:
- Directional current (⚡): some endpoints have a polarity — a source and a sink. The light has to flow the right way, and arrow cells force a single travel direction. You decide which end to start from, not just which dots to link.
- Energy budget & star rating (🔋): every level has a par step count. Finish to earn a star; solve efficiently for two or three stars. Steps become a visible resource, so there is always a reason to replay and beat your own best.
